Susan Winter enlists the help of a scientist, Russ Bradford, a finance guy, Marty, and a pilot, Lee Brand. Marty is helping finance the trip because he believes he will find uranium deposits where they are going and wants to make a claim. They are going searching for Susan's husband, who is/was a test pilot who went down in Mexico 3 years ago. The local officials won't allow them to search the area and are forced to fly illegally.
